It is compulsory for children to start school in the term after their fifth birthday. However, Woodfield is one of a number of Plymouth schools currently operating a single point of entry, where children join the school the September after their 4th Birthday.
Admission to our school is processed through Plymouth City Council.

Invites the parent to express up to three preferences by completing the form – including where relevant, any schools outside the Plymouth area – in rank order of preference:
Invites the parent to give reasons for each preference;
Explains that the parent will receive no more than one offer of a school place and that:-
(i) a place will be offered at the highest ranking, nominated school for which the child is eligible for a place; and
(ii) if a place cannot be offered at a nominated school, a place will be offered at an alternative school
It also specifies the closing date and where it must be returned.
Plymouth City Council’s website will also display a Parent’s Guide which provides a written explanation of the scheme.
The closing dates for applications is 15th January 2019
