European Day of Languages

25th September 2020

On Friday 25th September we celebrated the European Day of Languages. Each class enjoyed learning something about another culture and some words from another European language.  During the school year, the modern foreign language that we teach at Woodfield (Key Stage 2) is Spanish. Today our younger children were able to experience some Spanish learning too. Throughout the school, the children had discussions about why it is important to learn another language. Here at Woodfield, we are lucky to have children that speak other languages and today they were happy to share some of their language with their friends and adults. The whole experience, from the continental breakfast in the breakfast club and the Spanish lunch was great fun and it was enjoyed by all.
