Consultation on admission arrangements 2025/2026. 

We will be consulting on our admission arrangements for 2025/2026 through Plymouth City Council. The consultation will be live between Monday 4 December 2023 and Sunday 14 January 2024. Admissions Policy for 2024 - 2025

All parents have the right to an independent appeal if they are refused a place at their preferred school. If you wish to appeal, please submit the form below before the 29th February 2024.  Further details can be found on the Plymouth City Council website.

Nursery Admissions

The nursery welcomes children from the age of 2-4 years old where children can access:

  • ME2 funded places (2 year olds)
  • 3-4 year old Funding
  • 30 hours’ Funding (3 year olds) or
  • paid places (funded places are prioritised)

ME2 Funding

2 year olds who are entitled to ME2 Funding (available from the term following their 2nd birthday) get 15 hours of nursery provision.  At Woodfield this is generally taken as 5 morning or 5 afternoon sessions.

3-4 Year Funding

All children are entitled to 15 funded hours from the term following their 3rd birthday.  At Woodfield, this is generally taken as 5 morning or 5 afternoon sessions.

30 hours Funding

For parent/s working 16 hours or more their 3 year old child is entitled to a 30-hour funded place.  At Woodfield, these children are prioritised for full day spaces and access to lunch sessions.  This funding can be used towards Breakfast and After School Clubs.  Anything required over 30 hours, can be paid for.

The nursery waiting list is open from birth.  If you would like your child to access the waiting list, please contact:

Induction Process

The term before your child is due to start nursery, you will be contacted to confirm a place.  You will receive information regarding paperwork and settling sessions as well as a start date.  You will need to provide your ME2 or 30 hours code and birth certificate before your child can start.

The induction process is research-led and puts the child at the heart of the experience to ensure smooth transition and a happy start to nursery.
